CSIRO Sentinel-1 SAR image dataset of oil- and non-oil features for machine learning ( Deep Learning )
Danielle Meer has built a proof-of-concept AI model that utilises various satellite images of bodies of water from Southeast Asia and Australia as captured by the Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). The AI model then classifies these images to detect possible oil spill locations with an accuracy of 91%.
